Green Beret is a two-player game that simulates the military situation in Vietnam's Central Highlands in 1964-65. The Viet Cong (VC) guerrillas and regulars of the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) were confronted with the Republic of Vietnam's poorly motivated and unprepared army. Civilian Irregular Defense Groups (CIDG): Irregular light infantry units raised, trained and advised by the A-Teams of the United States Special Forces-the Green Berets. These forces were all in many areas that stood in the way of the Communist forces trying to halve Vietnam.
